These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the HoundHope.store website and the purchase of products through our online store. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit any rights afforded to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, or any other applicable South African law.

2. About HoundHope
HoundHope is a South African lifestyle brand offering premium apparel, accessories and selected pet-related products.
HoundHope also seeks to create a positive impact through its support of animal welfare initiatives and organisations.
Where HoundHope makes a specific statement regarding donations, contributions or support for a welfare organisation, the terms applicable to that initiative will be communicated on the website or relevant promotional material.
3. Products
We endeavour to describe and display our products as accurately as reasonably possible.
Product colours may vary slightly depending on photographic conditions, screen settings, fabric batches and manufacturing processes.
Measurements and sizing guides are provided to assist customers but may be subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances.
Where products are handmade, locally manufactured, embroidered or otherwise individually produced, minor variations are not necessarily considered defects.
4. Prices and Currency
All prices displayed on HoundHope.store are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.
Any applicable taxes, delivery fees or other charges will be displayed before the customer completes checkout.
HoundHope reserves the right to change prices from time to time. A change in price will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for.
If an obvious pricing or listing error occurs, HoundHope may contact the customer before fulfilling the order. Where the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled at the incorrect price, the customer will be offered the opportunity to proceed at the correct price or receive a full refund.
5. Orders
Customers must ensure that the information supplied when placing an order is accurate and complete.
Before submitting an order, customers will have an opportunity to review their order, delivery information and total purchase price.
An order is considered received once it has been submitted through the website.
Fulfilment is subject to:
- successful payment
- product availability
- verification of relevant customer and delivery information
- any product-specific lead times displayed on the website
If an ordered product becomes unavailable after payment has been received, HoundHope will notify the customer and offer an appropriate alternative or a refund.
6. Payment
Payments are processed through approved payment service providers, including PayFast by Network.
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.
HoundHope does not directly store customers’ complete card information where payment is processed securely by a third-party payment provider.
Products will only be dispatched once payment has been successfully confirmed.
7. Delivery, Returns and Refunds
Delivery timeframes, pre-orders, product availability, returns, exchanges and refunds are dealt with in full in our Delivery, Returns and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions and should be read alongside them.
8. Promotions and Discount Codes
Promotional offers and discount codes may be subject to:
- specific start and end dates
- availability
- minimum purchase requirements
- product exclusions
- limits on the number of times a code may be used
Unless otherwise stated, promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash.
Promotions do not limit any statutory consumer rights.
9. Intellectual Property
All HoundHope branding, logos, artwork, photographs, graphics, product designs, website content and other intellectual property appearing on the website remain the property of HoundHope or the relevant rights holder.
These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, commercially exploited or used without appropriate permission.
10. Website Use
Customers may not use the HoundHope website:
- for unlawful purposes
- to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or associated systems
- to interfere with the operation or security of the website
- to transmit malicious software
- to infringe the intellectual property or other rights of HoundHope or another party
11. Limitation of Liability
HoundHope will take reasonable steps to ensure the website and information contained on it are accurate and available.
To the extent permitted by law, HoundHope will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that may not lawfully be excluded under South African law.
12. Personal Information
Personal information supplied through HoundHope.store will be processed in accordance with applicable South African data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.

These Terms and Conditions and transactions conducted through HoundHope.store are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Nothing in this provision prevents a consumer from exercising rights or remedies available under applicable consumer protection legislation.
15. Changes to These Terms
HoundHope may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to an order will ordinarily be the version published when the order was placed.
